no. when you use the cartridges, you puncture a hole in them and they are not reusable. However, co2 cartridges are cheap. get them a wal-mart. pack of 5 for $3.

Dry firing (no loaded ammunition) any airsoft guns, electric or gas, is very bad for them. It hurts the internals of the weapons because they aren't built to be fired with nothing inside. You can do it, but I wouldn't suggest, at least not if you plan on keeping the gun for a long time.

M160-A2 M14 Sniper Spring Airsoft Rifle Combo Short ver. airsoft gun
A 1:1 scale replica of an M14 rifle, the heavy-duty M160-A2 airsoft gun is remarkably authentic. The rifle fires round 6mm plastic pellets known as BBs, which are propelled out of the gun via a spring mechanism.

If you use co2 on a gun not made for it, it would break obviously. extreme gas is also known as red gas, and is the most powerful type of gas. Almost ANY gun that uses it for a long period of time will break, so most people don't use it much. Top or green gas is the standard for most upgraded pistols. You must have a metal slide to use this properly, or else the slide will break. co2 is somewhere between red and green gas I think.

If you're buying gas-guns they'll all be compatible with the same gas. However, if the guns got plastic parts (like the slide) you just want to stay clear of the more powerful variants - but as you seem to just to be into recording videos with them, that won't be a problem.

I don't know what gas brands are available in your area but I'm I'm quite happy with my T&T Hyper Gas for starters if you want to make sure your gun won't break out of any crazy pressure. Try to go for gas below 100psi - both to be economical and make sure you won't wear-out anything on your guns should they be a with plastic parts.
