i want to get a gas airsoft gun but im confused at what it says about it takes green gas, does it take red gas and co2 also?
i know that red goes better but doesnt always work with the guns
i have no idea what co2 does
can someone help me out, thanks

Green, Red, and CO2 are gases used in gas airsoft guns.
green and red gas are more expensive than CO2, and generally in my opinion, harder to use and annoying to refill the gun so frequently. Most green gas and red gas guns are weaker than CO2, and costs more to get the gas for your gun. Very few stores around carry green or red gas.
CO2 is different from green/red, the cartridge is inserted into the gun, like a BB gun or air rifle. Its more powerful and lasts longer between shots. Most airsoft guns uses a 12gram CO2 cartridge, a steel miniature cylinder called a powerlet. They’re good for about 40-100+ shots, and are screwed in into the gun.
The powerlets are sold locally at most sporting goods, walmart, and many gun stores. They’re about 50cents each, buying in bulk will save you $$. Crosman is the best brand to get.
CO2 is better than all the other gases because not only is it cheaper and easier to use, its also more consistent at varying temps.
CO2 usually comes in a small metal canister, but Green Gas is usually more powerful. I would advise against using Red Gas, as it is not usually very effective. Alternatively, people also use the gas that comes from a compressed Aerosol Duster.
