And if they can, does that make them similar to blank guns? Because i’m looking to buy a blank gun, but they are too expensive and i dont mind that the airsoft gun is a little less real.

Dry firing (no loaded ammunition) any airsoft guns, electric or gas, is very bad for them. It hurts the internals of the weapons because they aren’t built to be fired with nothing inside. You can do it, but I wouldn’t suggest, at least not if you plan on keeping the gun for a long time.
